All spigots are designed to be inserted into a tapered hole in a wooden barrel.
The wooden spigots are varnished hardwood. The spigots have a tapered threaded shank and a lug on the handel that allows the valve to be padlocked closed.
They are screwed in for a tight leak-free fit. Wood sipgots are traditional.
