Chenin Blanc is a very underestimated white grape. The characteristics are generally light and fruity with an agreeable sweetness and a distinct herbal honey flavor.
Like Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc benefits form some aging to release more distinct flavors, but does not have the staying power of Chardonnay. Because of its pleasantness, Chenin Blanc is ideal for sipping alone as well as serving with food.
